Great set! Good to see a band that are always moving on, newer material
sounded just as good as the old favourites! Especially that one about
looking at maps.

The one after Jacket Hangs was Weird Heart from the Lover & Confidente 12"
- was a live favourite in Western Star Domino Club days.

Got to Soul nite at Weston Grand Atlantic by 12.45. And back to Rita's for
kebab by 3.

A top night!

Vastly changed line-up, for those who haven't been keeping a close eye.

Starkie, max, Rita all appear to be history, tho starkie and max both in
the crowd.

Gerard, John, angelo, Chris, wojtek, and presumably the 2 folk who played
the bbc session. Bec & mike?

...and stones
Huh
Sulphur
Open (worst aeros song ever IMO)
Season ticket to a bad place (amazing)
Skin (bec solo spot)
New one
Jacket hangs
Dunno had some audio scratching (Gerard said was from a totally diff band
so could be art objects??)
Birthday suit n badge (got audience grooving)
Oak apple day
Fun (rod stepped up (and stayed up)) great
Boy in bubble blimey
A spellbinding cowardice n caprice
Bury yr love

Encore
Loved
Broken n mended
T
Breaking

Think I Heard aeroplane blues possibly?? Perhaps someone more sensible
could confirm. Was great, all ways up. And rammed, as have all fleece
shows been.

Nat:

For some reason though there's Autumn Journal XV but no Autumn Journal
XXIV which was on the Yr Own World 12" but has never been on CD... unless
you were lucky / determined enough to get hold of one of the MacNeice LIT
cds. Can't be a copyright/permission issue, and it's a beautiful track, so
I'm curious as to why that's not on there.

It was on the CD single too
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yr-Own-World-Blue-Aeroplanes/dp/B00006ZXVK/ref=ntt_mus_ep_dpi_14).
I've always hung onto this CD specifically because that track didn't make
it onto Friendloverplane 2. It does seem to be rather unfairly neglected.

There only seem to be three tracks on this bonus disk not also on FLP2:
the other two are an "LA mix" of Aeroplane Blues (from Volume Magazine
CD), and Mean Time which is also tagged as unreleased - is this a
different version than included on Weird Shit? There was also a version of
this released on a 12" on Fantastic Plastic at some point, but I don't
know if that was different from the Weird Shit version. So there may be
one, two or three versions of this track - which is the tune of Yr Own
World with different words.
