Thanks Chris,

Is Katie the fiddle player? Where did Gerard find her? She didn't look entirely comfortable up there, particularly during the songs where she wasn't needed, but she played well.

Not sure I'd trust leaving a Marshall in a garage in Patchway though! At least its distinctive. Makes me wonder which heavy metal band he was in prior to joining the Aeroplanes.

I was round Gerard's on Weds recording an acoustic track with Max, the other Gerard and Katie. I mentioned that I'd love to play on Breaking In My Heart at the gig and he just said sure, why not? I have to say that these guys are the nicest, most easy going musicians I have ever worked with (and I've been in quite a few bands) and the vibe on stage and after the gig was just brilliant. It's given me a real kick up the arse to re-start my own band again (http:// www.myspace.com/altastate if anyone's interested). Max's tiger-skin Marshall stack is now in my mums garage in Patchway for a few days while I'm in London. It gave her a nasty shock when she went to put the car away!!

Guitarist was me!

21 years after first seeing them at the Tropic club a lifelong ambition finally realised. Rock'n'roll !!!!

Now, where can I get one of those "Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Blue Aeroplanes" t-shirts...

For Breaking In My Heart they were joined by another guitarist, a mandolin player (neither of whom I recognised) and a second bass player who did look familiar, perhaps from a previous Xmas gig?
