Chris had mentioned to me (on inquiring about possible dates) that there
was no Christmas gig happening this year a month or so ago.I was VERY
worried they'd had another split up, which would have been dreadful as i
truly believe 'hello stranger' was their best album since beatsongs and
live they're as good as they've ever been (if only the crowds were as big
now as they were in early 1990's...)So, this is reassuring news and can't
wait for the new songs (already love the sound of Waking Up In The Ghost
Removal Van!!) gareth

Subject: [BluePlanes] Band Announcemnt Hi all
The Aeroplanes Christmas gig is not happening this year. The band is
prioritising the follow-up album to Welcome, Stranger! (which is now
available from the website for the first time)
The recordings have already started and some titles that have emerged so
far include 'Half A Crown', 'Snipers' and 'Waking Up In The Ghost Removal
Van'. There are rumours of guest guitarists, a choir and a gamelan
orchestra. Also, Gerard's long-awaited Selected Poems & Lyrics should be
out this year. Watch this space!
