Re: Christmas Gig...

I once played a gig in the basement of The Rummer ("don't look for it, its not there any more") to an audience that mainly comprised half the cast of Casualty. Not being a fan, I was completely oblivious to this at the time. One of the guys in the band we were supporting worked on the show, and they had come down to see him, not us.

MessageYeah. Call yerself a fan?

Oh and as you're there - I'm not sure what time I'll finish tomorrow; I have to be there at 7.45 and they finish filming at 19.00! I'll keep you updated.

(If anyone's wondering, I'm being an extra on Casualty. It happens to you when you live in Bristol long enough... like joining the Aeroplanes...)

I'm assuming there are usually fewer Cybermen at the Fiddlers? *crawls back under sad fan rock*

No, you've got me there Nick. Why's it called a Death Zone? I've never really thought about it. Anyway, you can barely see my bruises from last year, so I'm ready.

The bit at the front of a gig where it gets a bit rowdy.

So named after... no, I can't bring myself to say it.... over to you, PV2!

Great news! So let's, as usual, meet there at 7.30, and drink steadily for 4 hours until the Aeroplanes finally come on at 11.30, by which time we'll be completely mullered. And this year, let's have a more convincing Death Zone? It was like a tea party last year!

You may think this is a bit premature (and you'd be right!), but then - they're selling Christmas trees in my local Safeway right now (I kid you not) so it's all relative!
