I appreciate that, I really do (honest guv!) but last time I checked,
no-one was paying me a fee for 2 columns in the NME! ;o) And also,
perhaps, to Rodney, that's as honest as it gets - sometimes the
simplest of things can be the most beautiful (I think it was Coleridge
who pointed that out?!)

Rodney made one solo album, Happy Sad. I put a bid in for a copy

The only time I ever saw the Blue Aeroplanes in concert was at Navy
Pier

Chicago in 1990. Was anybody else there? They opened up for The
Church. Both bands were excellent, but the Aeroplanes' 3 guitar
assault, the interpretive dancing, and Gerard's manic
talk-shout-singing were what

stood out for me. After I bought a couple of their albums, I found
that I especially enjoyed the songs penned by "Allen." Is is
