Animals That Swim. An excellent band and finally someone else who has
heard
of them. They actually supported The Blue Aeroplanes many years ago. Did
you catch them at The Spitz in May this year. A truly under rated band.

Any other fans of Animals That Swim here? I discovered them as part of a
'bands that remind me of the Aeroplanes' thread a number of years ago.
They're
a wonderful, emotion-laden band that uses these incredibly mournful horns
in
a
rock environment, there's no one else like them. After 5 years of silence
they
just released their 3rd album, _Happiness From A Distant Star_.

It's not that they SOUND like the Aeoplanes, but their stylistic approach
is similar. I've heard the Jazz Butcher described in similar terms, and
while
I worship Pat Fish, I don't see the BA correlation.

What other bands would you compare the BA's?

Mitch
