John Robb? It says Liam Feekery. But the truth is, neither of them wrote
it. It was me!
I also interviewed Gerard before the gig for We Are Cult website, and will
be reviewing the album for them. It is mint. Will post links when they're
up.
And in the interview Gerard was pretty keen on getting another album out
in October or November if the quality is there. The Aeroplanes are flying
high at present - I wouldn't put it past them.

Hi all

A great review of last week's gig by John Robb on Louder Than War:

Hey Friendsloversplanes!

We thought it was an excellent show, plenty of great new material, wicked
energy throughout. Chris sang 'Fun' as himself, not as Rodney, and did a
fine job - each time I see him do it he gets better.

Highlight for me was Bury Your Love like Treasure - trailing away till
there's just the vocal 4-part harmony refrain repeated and repeated then
building again into a crescendo of rock'n'roll guitar chaos. Top quality.
Top, top quality.

They all looked fit and raring to hit the road. Gonna catch at least one
show on the tour, will try for a couple....

Chris sang it Rocker, his voice is the closest to Rodney's you will find
in the band and I thought he sung it well. It was the first song I noticed
the crowd start to really dance and from behind merchandise it's when my
47yr old legs

wanted me to do the same👌

I've just listened to the original and watch Rodney sing it live at the
fleece in 2012, I haven't heard or found a falsetto to be reached anywhere
in there at all so not surprised Chris never found one either. Maybe it's
just my 47yr

old ears though, I'm not a musician 😭

Was a fuckin great 90mins though and I can't wait for the tour.
