Indeed, they'd run out of beer cos I'd drunk it all! Such is the nervous
anticipation of a BAs gig...

bloody 'ell, one night at a concert and I come back to
  50 emails!

So, as everyone else has aired their views....

  1) MySpace - yep, it did have a bad rep, a chat room
where there is no safety net, but it has gone stella
the last 6 months, and I think the initial distrust in
anything new has started to fade.
It is a great site for bands and the aeroplanes will
do well with it when set up. It will be there for
'others' to get info on the band rather than us here
who are all a bit anally retentive about our
  'precious' band.
Thats whats this email faction is all about.
Good luck Lisa, can't think of a better soul to sort
  it out.
There are some bloody oddballs on their though!
I had a 'conversation' with Ian McCullough on there
once - so it has its uses

2)CD protection, I've had 3 computers and virtually
have had no hassel by this supposed cd protection,
neither in windows media, itunes or musicmatch.
OK, ok I had one that was stopped on musicmatch (Kings
of Leon) but i-tunes managed it fine!

  3)Birmingham gig

Met with Nev - which was good, missed Patrick but hope
  to meet him at Leicester.

It was, as Neville said, competent rather than
  amazing.
decent enough but lacking that spark which makes the
  aeroplanes so memorable.

I actually quite liked 10,000 miles live (unlike Nev),
cavaliers (cav part 8 for completest) though was a bit
grim, and so were a few others.
The atmosphere was dulled despite me trying to get a
  mosh together at the front.

No wojeck = no dancing ; its a obviuos as ABC, i'm a
  telling you!
His Misses is doing a thesis or somesuch, and has all
the kids to look after, so we wont see him on the tour
  unfortunatly.

I am though rather upset to read the set list was
EXACTLY the same as that posted for Brighton.
Makes me wonder about going to Leicester if there's no
  variance.

So track listing (as nicked off the list on the floor
  so apologies if wrong)

Raise the roof - good start
Up in a down world - i like this one!
88 out- seen it better done before, and never one the
  best anyway.
  Treeful of starlings - dodgy
  Wharols 15 - good
  Days of 49 - excellent
  Jacket hangs - damn fine
  Surreal thing - poor
  Spitting out miracles - ok
  Cavaliers part 8 - dirge
10,000 miles (from Art Player - i liked)
  beautiful is... quite nice
  Applicant - now your talking
Detective song - damn good, and encored with
Breaking in my heart - great end, finally some action
  from the crowd

They had on the list Yr own world and /.... and
  stones, but didn't play them

Gerald seemed to enjoy himself though, bouncing round
the tiny stage, John was busy on the drums, max noble
was unassuming at the side, the others were competant.

Nev how could the beer make you ill? - they ran out
whilst the support band was on!!!!!

  Cheers all

keep the set lists coming in, so I can decide if I go
  to Leicester....

  gtb

(I was going to add that this letter was nearly as
long as a Lisa rant, but thought she'd bite my arse
  for saying so.
  Actually, that sounds quite fun!
don't get cross lisa, love you lots!!)
