The 8th should be a great gig. Will provide more info nearer the time.

The Frome gig was a bit weird. The organisation of the whole event was a bit suspect, and it lacked atmosphere as The Cheese & Grain is a collosal venue and was nowhere near full, which is a problem I've encountered at gigs there before. The bill was also a bit eclectic, which didn't help - Hazel was 2nd from the top of the bill to some local favourites whose name escapes me playing some sort of reggae hybrid. I like reggae on the whole but I thought they were pretty dreadful. However New Grand Smoking Palace, who were on before and were the other support when Hazel supported Holly Golightly in Bath recently, were great, despite having a new guitarist who'd only been in the band for 2 days! Hazel and the band played well despite lack of recent rehearsal, but not having the back projections due to a stage set that prohibited a screen also meant that some of the visual element of the gig was lost.

See you on the 8th if not before.
