Um, YEAH.  "Heartbreakingly gorgeous" was how a Fish once described it.

I know this is OT, but I've always played that the verse as

D/F#M/G/G
(four beats per measure)

Chorus as:

A/G/E/G/A/G/E/GGAA
(four beats per measure-- last measure split, two G's and two A's)

Do you play it like that?
