Got my copy of Bop Art at a BA gig in 96 I reckon, but no whisky. Anyone
else out there who saw the Art Objects? - first two 45s were Hard Object (a
case of you may only get to make one record, so say everything you need to
in 3 minutes. Incredibly wonderful) in 1980 and then Showing Off to Impress
the Girls (it's not drink, or mouth, or size, but us who turn them into
men... again, incredibly wonderful. There's a very rough version on Weird
Shit). Debut album - Bagpipe Music - was 1980 also, and was also incredibly
wonderful - gems like 20th Century Composite Rock Song, Landscape
Gardeners,
Batman. Every one a winner! I did ask Gerard many moons ago if Bagpipe
Music
would ever appear on CD, but he wasn't amused, claiming not to like the Art
Objects stuff anymore....

Got it yesterday...many thanks....it's fab mostly, the odd slightly
over-indulgent duffer......any chance of a track listing ?....or haven't
you
got one either ? ...I'll have to try and get hold of a CD of Bop Art now -
the format of choice - Gerard wandered off to get me one at a gig in
Bristol
a couple of years ago then came back a long time later without it but
clutching a bottle of whiskey ! ho hum.....priorities ! What's the story of
the 'Art Objects' material and where does that begin and 'Bop Art' end ?
Now
I have a complete collection of BA albums I'll have to organise an
appreciation evening......
