Rodney was indeed excellent. The set was a little short on time but he
managed to cram quite a few songs in. Shame no Worry Beads, though.
I saw the people PV2 mentioned except Gerard, but I did leave to get the
last bus, so might not have noticed him.

Its a nice little pub with the atmosphere of a "local", so I'll definately
go again - probably to Andy White next. Shame there isn't enough room for
the 6 piece I play in. Well, there is room for the band, but not for an
audience as well. But I suppose if the bar staff were into it....

Nice to meet PV2 (does that make me PV1?) and friend - let me know his
e-mail address and we can communicate re Robyn Hitchcock and Soft Boys
related news.

As regards the sloping floor, maybe they just reckon that the more beer
gets
spilt the more the punters will buy? Or am I getting too cynical?

Did anyone go and see Hazel on Saturday night at the Cube. I was gutted
to
miss that one, but was doing best man duties prior to our lead guitarist's
wedding on the Sunday. Interested in opinions of The New Acoustics, her
support band, as a couple of mates of mine are the main songwriters.

I don't think I've ever seen a Aeroplanes video either - maybe that could
be
a plan for a night at The Cube in the future?
